I did a little photoshoot for my friend who is about to sell both of those cars soon. I thought I would share a couple of those pictures with you guys :)

Taking pictures of the Midget was not exactly easy as it was cramped in the middle of his motorcycle hoard :)

If someone here is interested in buying either one, I can arrange shipping from Japan... I don’t know the price of the MG, but the 1970 Jem is 3 millions yen, which equals to about 24000$

First the Mini Jem

And the Midget

The Midget’s wheel seems to be on the wrong side for Japan.

Yes, I don’t know where the car comes from... We have a bunch of English cars that comes from the rest of Europe here too...

I think lhd was trendy in Japan at some stage so you could show off that you could afford a foreign car.

Yeah, but people who care about that are more interested in having a brand new lowered 2015 320i BMW with wide wheels than having a modified 1963 MG Midget :)

Cool cars. The engine does not appear to be the original for the Marcos, though. It’s an A+, developed for the 1980’s Austin Metro. I know this because it has a big badge on it which says “A+” next to the Austin Rover badge :)

In 1970, it would have been a BMC A-series engine, probably painted green.

Hum thanks for the info, I will let my friend know... No idea if he’s aware of it... Knowing him he most likely is :)

After a double check, it just happens to be a BMC A engine with an Austin Metro top cover :)

The eingine itself is original, the head cover is not

Aha! A very easy part to change, as it’s only held on by 2 bolts (I swapped mine for a shiny one when I was trying to sell my Mini).
